My new haunted Bible- NOW ON EBAY!

I have had this Bible for a few weeks now, it was given to me by a man who heard about me through facebook and visited my blog. He emailed me and said that it was opening and closing by itself, and that he would hear a bunch of voices speaking at once coming from it. He told me if I was interested I could have it and do whatever I wanted with it. So I decided to take it in! I myself have not seen it personally open by itself, but my husband has. In fact the night it opened by itself he decided to put it upstairs. I have witnessed though going to bed at night with it closed and it would be open the next morning. My husband said when he saw it open that it opened fast and hard like someone was slamming it open. It does not open to any certain page it just opens to whatever it feels like I guess. The Bible has since remained upstairs because my husband is afraid of it, lol. The Bible as you can see is not in perfect condition however it is very old. The date in the Bible that it was given to someone was 1896. It also has a few names in the Bible and if you would like to know them just ask me and I will try my best to decipher them because they are in cursive and kind of difficult to read. The Bible is in another language, I believe it is finnish, and it is very heavy I would guess about 16-18 lbs. If you need to know anymore information please feel free to ask. If you want to hear the show on para x radio when I was discussing some things about the Bible just ask and I will post the link here is a minute! If you are all interested in bidding, than go for it! :):)

A real Haunted house in my town!!!

This is a house that is on a piece of land that we farm. It was built in 1803, and has an amazing history! I love this house, and my husband has always wanted to purchase the land. I hope we can when it comes up for sale... Anyways, I have encountered the female spirit in this house once, and the male spirit a number of time. My husband has also seen the male spirit walking around the fields sometimes when they are farming. The house is right across from his families house, but is about half a mile back in the woods. My husband said when he was younger he use to watch out the window and see this man walking around the field. Even now they see the same man every now and then. This man that they see was either a senator or a governor of a town, in the late 1800'2 to early 1900's. He was having an affair, and when things started to get stressful he strangled his mistress in the house, and went into the barn and hung himself. I believe this mans presence to be an intelligent haunting, because he walks the fields, however he has been seen in all different areas of the field, not just one spot. My husband says when they are in the field working it, the man will look right at them and has even waved before! I have seen the man walking, but I have never waved to him. Often times when I look back he is gone! The female spirit in the house is of the woman who died there. She was 89 at the age of her death, and she loved the house very much. It had been in her family for years. When she died her ashes were spread around the house outside. I have seen her walking around the inside of the house. I plan on going inside of the house this fall to do EVP's and take inside pictures. Hopefully it will not fall over by then. If any of you want to see more outside pics, or pics of the barns just let me know I will happily post them!

The Jailer Inn Bed and Breakfast

http://www.bbonline.com/ky/jailersinn/pix1.jpg
This is possibly the most interesting place I have ever stayed, and the most active by far! To start things off I was alone with both my kids when I decided to stay here, hubby had to stay on the farm and work. So needless to say I was a little worried. At first I book what is called the Victorian room...

Then when I got there I decided to swiych rooms into the Colonial room because people were above me and I didn't want the kids to be loud and bother them. So we moved to this room...

The Colonial room is a very active room. More so than the first room I was going to stay at so I was excited. Let me tell you a little about the history of this place...

Iron bars on windows, 30 inch thick stone walls, and a heavy steel door slamming behind you may not sound like the typical tourist accommodation and Jailer’s Inn is anything but typical. The historic Jailer’s Inn, circa 1819, offers a unique and luxurious way to "do time."

Jailer’s Inn is a place of wonderful, thought provoking contrasts. Each of our six guest rooms are beautifully decorated with antiques and heirlooms, all located in the renovated front jail. The back jail, built in 1874, is basically unchanged; you get a chilling and sobering look at what conditions were like in the old Nelson County jail that was in full operation as recently as 1987.

On spring and summer mornings, as you sip hot coffee and chat with other guests over a full breakfast in the courtyard, it’s difficult to imagine all of the previous uses of the courtyard—as a work yard for prisoners crushing limestone, a place to visit forlorn relatives, or even the centralized location of the Nelson County gallows.

The Old Nelson County Jail property, housed prisoners from 1797 till 1987. The front building, sometimes referred to as the "Old Jail" was constructed in 1819. Records indicated that John Rogers architect of St. Joseph Cathedral, performed certain carpentry on this structure. The upper floor of this native limestone building, with 30 inch thick walls, contained two cells and an "upstairs dungeon" to house prisoners.

The back stone building, sometimes referred to as the "New Jail," was built in 1874 and is completely surrounded by a stone wall. The front jail was then; made into the jailer’s residence. Both the jail and jailer’s residence were used and occupied until 1987. It was the oldest operating jail complex in the state of Kentucky and is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places.

Anyways... I put my youngest son to sleep, and decided to walk around with my oldest son Alden, who at the time was 16 months old. The reason I had decided to go then is because I had heard whisteling coming from the prison cells, and no one was back there. I had called out a few times and no one answered. We walked back there and all the lights were off in the cells. So I decided to go into the cells to see if I could connect with any spirits. However I did not want to go into a full meditative state because my son was with me. So I went into each cell and asked questions. Then I entered the Detox cell. I asked if anyone was in here with me. Then my son points in the corner, and starts crying and acting like someone was trying to take him from me. When a person comes up and tries to hold him when I am already holding him, he leans in closer to me and starts whinin, and thats exactly what he was doing. So I decided it was best to leave. It was late so I then sat my son in his crib and stood outside the door so I could hear him, but I wanted to call my husband and update him on everything.

After both the boys fell asleep I decided to purchase the first room I was supposed to stay in just for me so I could sleep there becaue one of the boys was in the other bed and t he other was in a crib and I didn't want to wake them up. The rooms connected, so I purchased that room also and just opened the connecting doors to either room. I went in to check on the boys, and I turned the lamp on in the room so they could have some light. Then I went into my room and fell asleep, with the connecting doors still open of course. Around 3:00am my youngest son started crying. So I went in, only to find that the lamp had been turned off, the fan turned on, and the smoke detector open! With my other son asleep I decided to bring the youngest to sleep with me, and I let Alden continue sleeping in the bed of the other room. He sleeps like a rock! I will scan some pictures later and post them.

Hotel Savoy

here is the story behind this haunted hotel we stayed at in Kansas City Missouri:
The Savoy, built in 1888, is said to be the oldest continuously running hotel West of the Mississippi. As you can imagine, the history and mysteries surrounding passers through and hotel guests of years past yield to plenty of ghost stories. The Savoy went through a renovation process in the late 1980's and legend has it that the process extremely upset it's resident ghosts. Two resident ghosts are said to live in the Savoy. One, Betsy Ward died in a bathtub in the 1800's and is said to turn the water on and off and close the shower curtains in the room in which she died. The other, Fred Lightner, is said to haunt his former apartment. Hotel guests and staff are also said to have seen mysterious shadows, heard strange voices and have doors open and close on their own.

This is the story I heard from the owner of the hotel... Back in the 1920's during the great depression a hotel worker went into the room with the safe in it. He was followed by a waiter who stabbed him to death and took the money. Currently the hotel is under construction. So only parts of it can be stayed in, and the rest in currently being renovated. The room that the man was stabbed in is closed off, and they do not allow people in it. The reason being, renovation. Now I was allowed into the room where the woman died in the bathtub. However, it is also currently under renovation. I went iin and got some pretty interesting pictures, however I did not connect with any spirit while I was in there. Although, I noticed my camera died completely while I was in that room. It had a full charge before I went in. Also, when I walked in I got extremely lightheaded and developed a very strong headache. Sometimes this happens to me when I try to do readings for people and the energy is either very negative or extremly powerful. Although, they were renovating and that could have been the cause.

I will post my personal pictures of this hotel when I find my camera hookup fr the computer. I did not have any personal experiences in this hotel. However, it was the a very nice bed and breaskfast, and it was well worth the price.

Hotel Monte Vista

On our move from AZ to IN we decided to stop at a few places and of course they had to be haunted. This places was in Flagstaff AZ, and it was awesome! I had a paranormal experience there. Here is the story behind the hotel...

Located along old Route 66 in Flagstaff, Arizona is the Hotel Monte Vista. Opening on New Year’s Day, 1927, this historic hotel, listed on the National Register of Historic Places has been fully restored to its former glory and continues to serve the traveling public today. Along with playing host to numerous famous figures over the years, such as John Wayne, Bing Crosby, and Harry Truman, it also apparently is home to a number of unearthly figures.

This old hotel is one of the very few American hotels built entirely from public taxes, when, in 1924, a man by the name of V.M. Slipher spearheaded a local fundraising campaign to build the hotel.

Cowboy Ghost

Today, staff and guests feel as if this dead bandit is one of the many spirits that haunt the building. One manager reported that he would hear an eerie voice that said "Hello" or "Good Morning" when he opened the bar each day. Others have told stories of feeling a ghostly presence while enjoying a drink in the cocktail lounge. Though this might be the ghost of the the gunman, the hotel has such a past of shootings, cowboys on horseback in the lobby, and drunken brawls that they aren't really sure.

In 1924, tourism was a burgeoning business in Flagstaff, where lodging was too scarce to keep visitors in town to spend their hard earned dollars. Slipher’s efforts resulted in a city-voted ordinance which established a municipal bond to build the hotel.

After its opening, the hotel was popular not only among the tourists but also a favorite of the locals who quickly coined the phrase, “Meet me at the Monte V.” In its first year, the hotel hosted Mary Costigan’s daily three-hour radio show from room 105. Costigan was the first American woman to be granted a radio broadcasting license.

Opening during the prohibition era, this didn’t stop the Hotel Monte Vista Lounge from ignoring the law and running a profitable bootlegging operation out of Flagstaff’s most popular speakeasy. However, in 1931, the place was raided by local officials and shut down, only to resume business two years later when prohibition finally came to an end. For five years between 1935 and 1940, the hotel lounge and lobby also offered its many guests a wide range of slot machines to choose from, the only ones ever in Flagstaff.

John WayneIn the 1940’s and 1950’s, Western movies became the choice of the American public and more than one hundred movies were filmed in nearby Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon. During these filmings, the Hotel Monte Vista hosted such famous guests as Jane Russell, Gary Cooper, Spencer Tracy, John Wayne and Bing Crosby. In one of the rooms of the hotel a scene from Casablanca was filmed. In fact, it was John Wayne, who reported seeing one of the hotel’s first ghosts in the late 1950’s. Describing the spirit as friendly, this benevolent ghost evidently made a brief appearance in the movie star’s room.

In the 1970’s three men robbed a Flagstaff bank near the hotel, where one of the men was shot during their escape from the bank. Lying low and celebrating their successful robbery, the trio stopped in at the Monte Vista Lounge for a drink. However, the wounded man’s gunshot injury was obviously more serious than any of them anticipated because before he could even finish his first drink, he died right there in the lounge.

All types of other strange phenomena are reported at the hotel by spirits who make noise, move furniture around, make sudden appearances, ring the lobby telephone, and knock things down. Both employees and guests have heard band music coming from the second-floor lobby, when there is no band playing. Reportedly, the staff has become so accustomed to the odd occurrences that it has become a joke to them.

In Room 210, called the Zane Grey room, many guests have been awakened in the night by a phantom bellboy, who knocks on the door with the statement that room service has arrived. However, when the guests open the door, they see nothing but an empty hallway, not even a glimpse of someone escaping down the long corridor. Others have reported seeing the image of a woman who wanders the halls outside this room. Supposedly, the hotel avoids putting guests with pets in this room because dogs go crazy with fear and tear up the room.

This floor is evidently a hub of ghostly activity, as just down the hall in Room 220, all types of strange activity is reported. Evidently in the early 1980’s this room played host to an eccentric long-term boarder who was known to hang raw meat from the chandelier. Sometime later he died in this room and his body was not discovered for several days. Today, guests often complain of hearing coughing and other noises from the otherwise empty room. At one time, after a maintenance man had made several repairs to the room, he turned off the light and locked the door. However, returning just five minutes later, the light was back on, the bed linens stripped, and the television broadcasting at full blast.

In the Gary Cooper Room many guests have reported being unnerved by the sure feeling that someone was watching them. Reportedly, two prostitutes were murdered in this room when they were thrown out the window. The two painted ladies have also been reportedly sighted in the pool hall and the lounge.

In yet another room, number 305, the ghost of a female apparition is often reported as sitting in the rocking chair. Further, if the cleaning staff moves the chair, the next day it will always reappear next to the window.

The Hotel Monte Vista is the longest publicly held commercial hotel in the history of America, finally selling to a private individual in the early 1960's. Located at 100 N. San Francisco Street, the old hotel with its tales of scandal and ghost stories continues to entertain.

Like I said we stayed in Room 303. At night I woke up and saw the figure of a man standing at the foot of the bed. He was just looking over at us. However I could not see his face. I need to find the connector to my camera and I will post pictures. This was a wonderful hotel!! I wished we could have stayed longer.

My new doll

I purchased a new haunted doll, at first not knowing it was haunted. I purchased it from a yard sale, from some people who go to Estate auctions. I brought it home and decided since it was from an estate I would see if she was haunted. I decided to use my Ouija board, and ask her some questions. Unfortunatly I never got any answers, so I simply gave up and went to bed. That night we heard screaming, and it sounded like it was coming from a baby. So we checked on our boys, and they were both fast asleep. Ever since then we have heard the same screams., during the day, at night when the boys are asleep or awake. I decided that I am probably not the one to speak with this spirit and help her so I have placed her on Ebay so she can find a home. She is very cheap... If you want to experience your first haunted doll check her out!!!
